- The Jagir was abolished in 1956 when
Nagaraja Rao Purniah, the 7th Jagirdar of Yellandur was still alive ( he died in 1960).
- Hence Ragavander Rao Purnaiya his eldest
son never became the Jagirdar of Yellandur.
- The Jagir lasted from 1799 - 1956 : a
period of 157 years and had 2 distinguished Dewans of Mysore.
